We want to provide an additional update on COVID-19 exposures within our Beacon Hill community. We learned Saturday, May 9, that one of our Health Center residents tested positive for COVID-19 and is being cared for in the hospital.
By way of recap, we have two health center resident cases of COVID-19 and six cases of COVID-19 among individuals who provided care and services in our Health Center. We will continue to screen and monitor our residents, team members and essential visitors for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Additional information regarding COVID-19 in our community will be provided to you when available, as appropriate.
We continue to work closely with the DuPage County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health. We realize that this situation is concerning to you, and we are committed to being open and transparent, while respecting the privacy of those involved. We have implemented our pre-planned infection control protocols and continue to follow recommended COVID-19 protocols at our community under the guidance of the health agencies.
In order to keep this virus contained, we ask that you continue to be vigilant in keeping our community safe. Therefore, please continue to stay in your homes, practice social distancing, and if you must venture out for essential items, follow all recommended protocols including washing your hands frequently and using hand sanitizer.
We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members.
You are always welcome to contact us directly with questions and concerns. Please contact your Beacon Hill management team.
